This is pretty much exactly the same as an idea I had for a photo which never got done, damn!! Damn good!

slow-swords:

Picked this beauty up from the store a few weeks back (from the unbelievably perfect Bent Crayon, best store in the nation…). Was drawn in by the positively gorgeous artwork, and the fact that it was released on Steve Hauschildt’s own Gneiss Things import: it just had to be good, right?

Thankfully it was no let down. This is the first full length LP by Roger Tellier-Craig under the guise of Le Révélateur, after a cassette on Root Strata last year, and it’s truly mesmerizing from start to finish. Synth explorations that will melt yr mind, or something like that. Essentially, it sounds like the best record Tangerine Dream never released in their 70s heyday. That’s probably as succinct a description as I can give. Three long pieces that are never overbearing, just welcoming, as they draw you in with layers of warm synth.

///The big thing now is to see if this whole spiritual, peaceful and sensitive music becomes the next stage of the worlds musical awareness or if it just sits there as a niche item among the intelligentsia and cool people while the infernal thumping we have been subject to for 50 years continues to torment the world forever///
